The 2012 Super Bowl takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana and kicks off at 6.25pm ET (11.25pm GMT), with Tom Brady's New England Patriots taking on Eli Manning and his New York Giants.
While the majority of the focus will be on the football, the Super Bowl is always a spectacle and all eyes will be on Kelly Clarkson when she sings the national anthem before kick-off.
It is not the first time that the American Idol winner has performed at a major sporting event. She also sang the anthem before game five of the 2011 NBA Finals between Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks, and back in 2010 she performed it before game three of the 2010 World Series between the San Francisco Giants and Texas Rangers.
The Black Eyed Peas put on an awesome half-time show at last year's Super Bowl and this year, it is Madonna who will be entertaining, with a performance of her latest single "Give Me All Your Luvin'" certain to make her set list.
