The series kicks off today (Dec. 1) with our video (below) of Kelly Clarkson chatting about the two songs she's seen rise to No. 1 -- 2002's "A Moment Like This" and 2009's "My Life Would Suck Without You" -- and what they've meant to her. "I don't make records to have No. 1s," she says. "But it's really awesome when it happens. It means everyone is liking what you're doing."

The summer of 2002 was huge for Clarkson; she went from being an unknown contestant on an unknown TV singing competition to being the famed first "American Idol" winner. Her debut No. 1, the aptly named ballad "Moment," reached the top on Oct. 5, 2002 and stayed there for two weeks -- a just a month after she won the "Idol" crown. The ascent of "My Life Would Suck Without You," which sat atop the Hot 100 for two weeks starting Feb. 7, 2009, came long after Clarkson had established herself as a career artist with multiple platinum albums.
