America’s votes are more important than ever, as Fox has announced a surprise shake-up on this week’s X Factor USA. Two contestants will be getting the axe this week in a double-elimination. But if it’s any consolation, they’ll enjoy two amazing musical guests before being sent packing.

Performing on this week’s results show are Kelly Clarkson and Bruno Mars. Kelly, who was the first winner of X Factor competitor and Simon Cowell‘s former home, American Idol, will hit the stage to give the debut TV performance of her new single, “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger).” Mars will bring the drama as he performs “It Will Rain,” his ballad from the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Pt. 1 soundtrack.
Last week’s X Factor USA results show was the most controversial of the season so far. 15-year-old rapper Astro was spared from elimination after facing off with 42-year-old singer Stacy Francis, but not before displaying a his major bruised ego to everyone. But Astro claims he “spazzed” on-air because he believed he was never truly in the bottom two and felt X Factor producers were just “punishing” him for a behind the scenes incident. Producers deny this claim. X Factor USA’s live contestant performance show airs tonight on FOX, while the results show with performances by Kelly and Bruno airs tomorrow.
