Kelly Clarkson appeared to be having a ball at Tuesday night’s (May 15) Entertainment Weekly and ABC Upfront VIP Party. The American Idol alum wore a big grin — along with a fantastic dress — on the red carpet, as she laughed and hammed it up with her fellow Duets judge Robin Thicke. It was just the excitement at her upcoming reality show (debuting May 24 at 8 p.m. EST), or the fact that 30 looks darn good on the “Stronger” siren, but Kelly was simply radiant.

SEATTLE (AP) — A video featuring cancer-stricken children, their nurses, doctors and parents lip-synching and dancing to the popular Kelly Clarkson song “Stronger” has become an online sensation. Clarkson, in her own video message to the children at Seattle Children’s Hospital, said it was “amazing.” “It made my day. I know it’s making everybody else’s day online,” Clarkson said in a message posted on her website. “I just can’t wait to meet you.”

The youngsters, many attached to IVs and holding signs that say “Stronger,” “Fighter” and “Hope,” dance along with parents and medical staff. One child even rides a bike through the hallways of the hematology oncology floor. The video is part of a creative arts program with cancer patients at Seattle Children’s.

The kids’ video went online May 6. It was the idea of 22-year-old Chris Rumble, a patient at the hospital who was diagnosed with leukemia in April. He wanted to do something to share with his old hockey team in the central Washington town of Wenatchee

“I’m everyone’s big brother and I have a lot of friends here at Seattle Children’s,” Rumble said on the hospital’s blog. Dr. Douglas Hawkins said the patients and staff at Seattle Children’s have been thrilled by the response. “This morning it was over 900,000 views. It’s really incredible,” he said Friday. Hawkins said such projects help the kids maintain their spirits.

“When a child or young adult is treated for cancer, it puts their whole life on hold in a way that doesn’t seem fair at all,” Hawkins said. “It’s a fight for their life. But there are all these other normal things they want to be doing too, or things they want to focus on other than the medicine or the illness or their time in the hospital.”

In a recent statement from Kelly Clarkson, it has been proposed that she has been deeply touched by admiring young cancer children at Seattle Children’s Hospital. She exaggerated that she felt proud after watching the children singing lyrics of her song stronger and at the same time filming a video of themselves. She asserted that she was so touched that she recorded another video, which included her response for those children.

She said, “That was so amazing. It made my day. Everyone has been watching and talking about it. It is so beautiful and wonderful. I can’t wait to meet you. It was the coolest thing to watch”. It has been reported that the staff at the hospital and even the patients are exhilarated after acknowledging that Clarkson was aware of their video and that she responded to them via video message.

It has been administered that a footage has been recovered that depicts the feelings of one of the patients about the song and how she and her friends would have fun in their car playing the song. The hospital administrative staff has asserted that they are even touched by the spirit and flexibility of the patients, who made this video.

Singer Kelly Clarkson has promised to pay a visit to a children's hospital in Washington after several young cancer patients made a touching video to the tune of her hit song Stronger.

Leukemia sufferer Chris Rumble teamed up with doctors and fellow patients in the hematology oncology unit at Seattle Children's Hospital over the weekend to make a heart-warming tape to send to his best pals and Wenatchee Wild hockey teammates back home.

In the YouTube.com clip, which has since gone viral, the 22 year old mouths along to Clarkson's anthem, with each of the kids dancing and holding up handwritten motivational posters. Nurse Brittany Skinner tells Today, "It gave them something to shine through, I guess. Like the song said, 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.'"

The pop star recently got wind of the project and she was so touched by their courage and emotional connection to her track, she reached out to bosses at the medical center to plan a visit so she can greet her little heroes. In a post on Twitter.com, she writes, "Oh my goodness y'all have to see this! It's beautiful! I can't wait to visit these kids and nurses! It's Seattle Children's Hospital, I believe. God Bless y'all!"

This week, one of American Idol's judges outsells the former contestants. But just because Jennifer Lopez's Dance Again outsold Kelly Clarkson's Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) 75,000 to 72,000 doesn't mean the Idols didn't put up some big numbers.

For one thing, that 72,000 put Stronger past the 3 million mark, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Also, nine tracks from Blown Away made SoundScan's list of Top Country Digital Tracks, led by the title cut's 66,000 downloads.

A couple of singers who've found additional success on other shows also showed up on this week's charts. Jamar Rogers, a Hollywood-round contestant from Season 8 who made this season's semi-finals on The Voice, sold 22,000 copies of his version of If You Don't Know Me by Now. And Touch Me, a Smash cast recording featuring Season 5 runner-up Katharine McPhee, sold 18,000 downloads.

Though the world probably didn’t need another televised singing competition show, we’re nonetheless excited to watch Duets, which boasts phenomenal talents like Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke, Jennifer Nettles and John Legend, the latter who replaced Lionel Richie on the panel. Good Morning America took a brief peek behind-the-scenes of the new singing competition, and sat down with all four judges — who also happen to be four of the show’s mentors and competitors, since they’ll be performing with the contestants each week.

“Nobody guided me,” says Clarkson of her first few years as a singer. “I don’t know about ya’ll, but I was making mistakes left and right, and I didn’t know what I was doing. I think it’s really cool to give back in that sense.”

The show premieres Thursday May 24 at 8 p.m. on ABC. Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger” remains unstoppable as the most popular song in Atlanta radio for five weeks. The original “American Idol” winner has a top song on B98.5 (32 spins), Star 94 (66 spins), Wild 105.7 (87 spins) and Q100 (94 spins). Total the past week: 279 spins.

Katy Perry’s not far behind with 236 spins for “Part of Me,” but isn’t getting as much love at Star 94 (41) or Wild (51) as they are with Clarkson. Otherwise, there doesn’t appear to be any other songs on the horizon ready to take the place of “Stronger.”

Representatives for the Billboard Music Awards announced that four new artists including Kelly Clarkson, Usher, Linkin Park, and Nelly Furtado will join the growing list of performers for the spectacular, star-studded evening.

The quartet of acts will join Justin Bieber, LMFAO, The Wanted, Carrie Underwood and Cee Lo Green on the show's lineup, which is being held in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Arena. Bieber, along with Usher and Furtado, are all set to release their new albums soon after the show airs, and their performances may help boost sales for their already anticipated debuts.

The favored television comedy couple, Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell from “Modern Family”, are set to co-host the ceremony, which has a heated race for awards with Adele nominated in 18 categories, LMFAO in 17, Rihanna in 13, and Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne with 10 each. You can tune in to catch all of the action when the Billboard Music Awards airs live on May 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Is Kelly Clarkson looking to distance herself even more from American Idol?
First, Idol's season 1 champ signs on to be a mentor on Idol's rival show The Voice, and now a promo for her new ABC series, Duets, appears to take a dig at the show that made her famous.

"In a landscape where music shows are all the same, one will break through," the spot's announcer bellows, before a British judge, ditzy female and a bald African American man critique singers using overused adjectives like "atrocious" and "pitchy." Later, as a microphone stand is hurled at the stage, Clarkson and her Duets costars -- Jennifer Nettles and Robin Thicke -- are revealed.

Though famed crooner Lionel Richie appears in the ABC promo, it was announced Monday that he would no longer participate in the series, and that nine-time Grammy Award winner John Legend would take his place.

Premiering May 24, Duets will showcase two undiscovered performers selected by their celebrity duet partners (Clarkson, Nettles, Thicke and Legend). Each week, the celebs and their partners will perform in front of a live audience, with the eventual winner earning a Hollywood Records contract.

Former “American Idol” runner-up Kelly Clarkson had a blast on the set of her new music video “Dark Side”. The pop star was thoroughly enjoying her time in Los Angeles, as she filmed in a casual, orange, one-shouldered top posing for a picture while jumping in the air and another green and sheer black dress for the serious scenes of the video.

It’s the third single off of the brunette beauty’s latest album, Stronger, and that’s not the only reason she's been celebrating -as Miss Clarkson turned 30-years-old last week. “Today I am 30 years old YEAHHHHHHHH!!!! I am happy, healthy, and looking forward to my thirties! Have an awesome day everybody!” she shared with Twitter followers.
