Kelly Clarkson was busy playing the last concerts of the Asian leg of the All I Ever Wanted World Tour - however the pop star decided to take some time off and make an appearence.

On Superstar K - the American Idol of South Korea. Kelly taped the show in May and her episode finally aired this Friday.

You can see in the video above that, at first, Ms Clarkson pretends she's auditioning for Superstar K - please look at the suprise faces of the panelists.

At 22-sec mark! LOL Who could actually believe that the one and only Kelly Clarkson would be there to audition? Did those guys now knew who she was? Come on!

The "Since U Been Gone" singer then reveals she's there to guest judge. Anyway, after this hilarious moment, she took her seat and the real auditions began.

Kelly Clarkson has released her latest song 'Lost' and she's a classic Debbie Downer. There's nothing like a breakup song to pick your spirits up and let you live again. Listen to 'Lost' and see if you start to cry. Going from a strong, independent woman in 'Since You've Gone' to a girl who has already moved on in 'Already Gone', Kelly Clarkson has always been a singer who can take a hit and keep going.

In 'Lost' she can't even stand to be on her own. It's sad and we're not sure if we like this self pity party that Kelly Clarkson has thrown for herself. We are just used to a kick ass Kelly who doesn't need a guy. New Kelly is too 'Lost' to find her way out of the endless depressing desert she has created. Her voice is spot on and the song is easy to enjoy when you're not saddened by her longing for her lover.

Kelly Clarkson has said she would ignore Simon Cowell if he tried to phone her. The 28-year-old musician shot to fame on talent show American Idol.

Which is judged by Simon. Kelly insists she doesn’t hold any bad feelings towards the music mogul, but would worry about why he was trying to get in touch.

She was asked during an interview who she would call, send a text message to or reject if she discovered she had missed a call from Simon, Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul.

Who were also on the judging panel when Kelly won the first season of American Idol. Kelly revealed she would send Paula a text message and call Randy back, meaning she would have to give Simon the cold shoulder.

“I don’t really want to reject Simon. Maybe I would reject and call him back later, I would probably be nervous about what his call was about,” she admitted to British television show Hot Desk.

This year, International Songwriting Competition is going to have Rihanna, Timbaland and Kelly Clarkson on the judge panel. To determine winners for the contest, those three musicians will be joined by such recording artists as Tom Waits, Jeff Beck, Train, Adele, K'naan, Kings of Leon, Keane, Robbie Williams, DJ Tiesto and Jazmine Sullivan.

The International Songwriting Competition is an annual song contest whose mission is to provide the opportunity for both aspiring and established songwriters to have their songs heard in a professional, international arena. Music industry executives from giant labels also contribute on the judge panel.

A group of us got together on Saturday to celebrate our friend Jaimie’s birthday and decided to start with dinner at Gordon Biersch – not least because they were okay with us bringing in an ice cream cake.

They’ve also got an open-door policy on celebrity as well, it seems. After the fourth or fifth pair of young girls walked up to a neighboring table we figured out that Kelly Clarkson was dining there with a few friends.

As it turned out, Clarkson was on her way out the door just after our waiter brought out Jaimie’s cake. As she walked by one of us said “Hey Kelly, want to help us sing happy birthday?” She said “sure!” and asked whose birthday it was. Then she started singing, though she stopped after the first line to say one thing.

Things cannot get much worse for the troubled, battered, bruised, bloodied Lilith Fair. The biggest American Idol star of them all, the one and only Kelly Clarkson, has dropped off the tour  entirely, probably taking some ticket sales with her.

The news of the exodus of Clarkson comes hot on the heels of 11 cancellations in July due to poor sales and a lethargic economy. Clarkson's excuse? She has to work on her new album.

Kelly Clarkson has kicked off the upcoming 4th of July weekend with a live performance at a star-studded celebration on ABC. The "American Idol" singer took the stage of Ford's Theatre for a rendition of Nikka Costa's "Everybody Got Their Something".

Reportedly taped on June 6, the gig was aired Friday night, July 2. Clarkson wore a one-shoulder black long dress and wowed audience which included President Barack Obama. First Lady Michelle who served as the honorary chair of the gala celebration was seen in the audience as well. Ty Burrell hosted the event. Featured guests included Renee Fleming, Montego Glover, Laura Michelle Kelly, Gavin Lee, George Lopez, Lionel Richie, Robin Roberts and Dick Van Dyke.

Maybe Kelly Clarkson  just doesn’t like fairs in Minnesota. Last year, she pulled out of her State Fair concert at the 11th hour due to a sore throat. Now she’s off the lineup for the July 18 Lilith Fair event at Target Center.
She will be replaced by the Court Yard Hounds, the duo of Dixie Chicks Martie Maguire and Emily Robison. That means that LaRoux, who is touring with Clarkson, is no longer coming here to Lilith, either. The lineup for the downsized Lilith show includes Sarah McLachlan, Heart, Mary J. Blige, Metric, Kate Nash and Court Yard Hounds.

Kelly Clarkson has recorded a mystery duet. The 'I Do Not Hook Up' singer - who recently performed on Simon Cowell's last ever 'American Idol' - has headed back into the studio to work on her the follow-up to 2009's LP `All I Ever Wanted' and has told fans she has already laid down one collaborations.

She tweeted: "Officially recorded the first song for my 5th album today! It's so awesome and is a duet but I can't tell you who quite yet :). (sic)" Earlier this year it was rumoured that singles from the upcoming LP had been leaked over the internet. However, Kelly - who shot to fame after winning the first series of `American Idol' in 2002 - insisted the leaked tracks were not hers.

She blasted on twitter: "Cleopatra is NOT a song on my next record! It was written for another artist! I have no idea how it leaked, it's a rough demo, unfinished! I'm so tired of disrespecting, lying, sneaky little trolls that pretend to be human."

Remember that track I posted a few weeks ago by Kelly Clarkson's pal Ashley Arrison? Ashley is now gearing up for the big time with a brand-new video for her new single "Trying To Help You" that you can watch on this blog first.

"Trying To Help You Out"  was co-written by Clarkson and also features her backing vocals. The track is taken from Ashley's forthcoming LP, "Hearts On Parade."

The video was directed by esteemed music video director Chris Callister who shot The Killers' video for "Happy Birthday Guadelupe" last year.  Also featured in the video is actor Andrew Lander who plays Ashley's cutiepatooty love interest.

And Ashley? She does what she does best. Sing catchy, country-infused pop rock that is blazing with authentic Americana. Perfect fare for a warm summer day.
